new life

rely wholly and solely on God
and love him for love’s sake alone
believe in the lovers of God
and in His manifestation


bear all things bravely and freely
not asking for blessings rewards
and always within you
you’ll carry this new life
the precious gift of the Lord


renounce hatred falsehood and lies
reject all lust anger and greed
do no harm to others and
seek neither power nor homage


be untouched by honor or shame
remain cheerful in all things that come
and give no importance
to caste religion or creed


desire no material gain
never mention shortcomings of others
with patience meet hardships
and fear no one and nothing


this new life eternally lives
and will waken the heart that will hear
the divine word in silence
to live in the presence of God
